Education
2018 – PhD in civil engineering
I have been awarded a PhD in civil engineering by the University of Warwick (UK), which was concluded in February 2018. Thesis reviewers: Dr Stana Zivanovic and Professor Keith Worden.
2010 – MSc in Civil Engineering
MSc in Civil Engineering at the Nova, University of Lisbon, Portugal. This is a two year master degree, combined with a three year B.Sc. During this period I have participated in the Erasmus program at Roma La Sapienza University, Italy.
2008/2009 – Erasmus Programme
During my masters, I have participated during one semester in the Erasmus Programme at the Sapienza, University of Rome (Italy). During this transfer activity, I have been involved in three core-modules: theory and project of bridges; nonlinear structural analysis; and repair and rehabilitation of structures. The modules were completed (nonlinear structural analysis with distinction) and I have earned an ERASMUS scholarship grant.
Other certifications
In addition to the above information, I participated on a number of courses/workshops: circuits and electronics, finite element modelling, high performance computing, 3D printing, etc.
